Index Card Activity
Each of you will be given 3 different index cards: 1blue, 1 green, 1 red
Please write your initials on the front of each card in the TOP right hand corner.
Think about what you KNOW about bullying and what you KNOW about cyberbullying from the video and our K-W-L chart.
Then:
1. Write one thing that is unique (only has to do with) cyberbullying on the blue index card
2. Write one thing that unique (only has to do with) bullyingon the green index card
3. Write one things that is the same for bullying and cyberbullying on the red index card.
VENN DIAGRAM
A Venn Diagram is a graphic organizer like the ones who have been using in Language Arts Class. It is used to compare two things to see where they are the same and where they are different (unique). Where the two circles overlap in the middle is where they are the same. The other part of the circles are where they are different.
Each student will be called up to read their index card and then place it in the correct place on Venn Diagram.
Lesson 2: Comparing Cyberbullying and Bullying
Goal:
Students will create a poster to increase public awareness of cyberbullying.
Objectives:
Students describe what is similar and different about bullying and cyberbullying.
Prior Homework:
Several students will share what they KNOW about cyberbullying from their index cards.
All Cards will be collected at the end of class.
